Anna-Louise was delighted to discover her debut as Turandot for Opera Australia was reviewed inOpera Magazine (UK) in the July 2022 issue. Of Anna-Louise’s performance, Deborah Jones said: “On the positive side, Anna-Louise Cole’s first Turandot had the house cheering and stamping. Cole gave an unusually sympathetic and sensuous reading of the character, making far more sense than usual of Calaf’s coup de foudre. Her poise and intelligence come with a sumptuous, gleaming soprano and an undoubtedly bright future. All bodes well for Cole’s assumption of Brünnhilde in the third cycle of the much-delayed new OA Ring, now scheduled to be seen in Brisbane late next year (she follows Lise Lindstrom in the role, as she did in Turandot, and is the Sieglinde in the first two cycles).”
